The horse comes first at Merrimac Farm

Merrimac Farm offers a horse boarding facility, horsemanship lessons, and horse riding lessons. Attention to detail, safe horses, and education in horse care come with every lesson.

Non-competitive riding and horsemanship lessons are open for registration with experienced instructors, no prior horse experience needed. Focus area is English riding, dressage, and low-level jumping.

Partnerships with local therapists provide space for equine-assisted learning for those with various disabilities.

$50 for 1 hour private lesson that includes riding and ground work. Flexible payment options or additional financial support are available if needed.

Pay for Riding Lessons

Barn Buddies takes place on the first Sunday from 3:30-5pm at Merrimac Farm. Barn Buddies is a fun, unmounted horsemanship program for kids that uses the United States Pony Club curriculum to build knowledge, confidence, and safe horse skills. Through hands-on learning in the barn, children get to spend time grooming, learning equine care, and building community with other horse loving kids.

Barn Buddies requires a $50 initial registration fee and then is $20 per class attended. Flexible payment options or additional financial support are available if needed.
